Characteristics of polyurethane elastomer:

  1.Excellent wear resistance: the wear resistance of polyurethane elastomer is very outstanding, generally about 3-5 times of that of natural rubber, and it enjoys the reputation of "wear resistant rubber";

  2. Wide hardness range: the low hardness range of polyurethane elastomer can be about shore a 10, and the high hardness can reach shore D85, which extends from rubber hardness to plastic hardness range. What is more valuable is that polyurethane elastomer still has good rubber elasticity and elongation in the case of high hardness;

  3.High strength: under the hardness of rubber, the tensile strength and tear strength of polyurethane elastomer are much higher than those of general rubber; under the hardness of plastic, their impact strength and bending modulus are much higher than those of plastic;

  4. Oil resistance: the oil resistance of polyester polyurethane elastomer is not lower than that of NBR, which is equivalent to that of polysulfide rubber;

  5. High bearing capacity: because polyurethane elastomer can improve the hardness on the premise of maintaining rubber elasticity, it can achieve a very high bearing capacity, which is unmatched by other rubbers;

  6.Good vibration absorption performance: the effect of polyurethane elastomer on alternating stress shows obvious hysteresis phenomenon. In this process, part of the energy of external force is consumed in the inner part of polyurethane elastomer and transformed into heat energy. Therefore, polyurethane elastomer has obvious vibration absorption property, also known as damping property;

  7. Low temperature resistance: polyurethane elastomer has good low temperature performance, the brittleness temperature is generally very low (- 50 ℃ - 70 ℃), and the brittleness temperature of some formula varieties is lower than - 70 ℃. Therefore, polyurethane elastomer products are especially suitable for cold environment;

  8. Radiation and ozone resistance: polyurethane has outstanding radiation and ozone resistance in polymer materials;

    9. Mold resistance: polyether polyurethane has good mold resistance, test grade is 0-1, and basically does not grow mold;

  10.Biomedical properties: polyurethane material has excellent biocompatibility. Acute and chronic toxicological test and animal test proved that medical polyurethane material is non-toxic, no distortion effect, no allergic reaction and other adverse side effects.
